The Police and other security agencies are at it again and have attacked journalists.
They have confiscated cameras and other equipment belonging to journalists covering the Lubiji wetland saga.
The cameras confiscated belong to Umar Kyeyune of UBC, Stephen Otage of the Daily Monitor, Ivan Mukasa of the Edobozi and Ivan Mutebi of Bukedde.
The journalists are covering the scuffle between the police and the encroachers on the Lubiji wetland, which was stormed by thousands of people who have forcefully occupied land meant a sewerage plant.
The officer who commanded the operation that saw the gadgets confiscated is the Regional Police Commander Kampala North Micheal Mugabe.
This comes at a time when journalists are boycotting coverage of government activities following the severe beating they suffered, while covering the return of the FDC Leader Col. Kizza Besigye from Nairobi.
Several journalists were beaten up while on duty and their equipment confiscated.
The police is however repeating the same attacks at a time when their apologies for attacking the journalists are yet to be accepted.
