Police has assured the public of security ahead of tomorrow’s local council elections.
This comes amid fears that the elections may be marred by violence since it is an open vote with voters lining up behind their preferred candidates.
Addressing a news conference at the Central Police Station in Kampala, the police spokesperson Emilian Kayima said they will deploy officers at all centers, urging participants to comply with the orders.
He also reveals that they have information about some groups planning to intimidate voters, warning that they risk being arrested and prosecuted.
