Parliament is yet to receive the resignation letter of former Amuru Woman MP, Betty Bigombe.
Late last month, Bigombe, who was also the Minister of State for Water, was appointed senior director for Fragility, Conflict and Violence at the World Bank.
Parliament’s spokesperson, Hellen Kaweesa says the institution is yet to receive communication, adding that once it is made, the Electoral Commission will be notified accordingly.
The Electoral Commission says once it gets communication from Parliament, a by election will be held in Amuru to replace Bigombe.
She is expected to take up her appointment on 1st July.
