The NRM Parliamentary caucus wants the party’s disciplinary committee to summon and take action against Iganga Municipality Member of Parliament Peter Mugema(Panadol) for alleged insubordination.
According to the caucus spokesperson HamsonObua, Mugema violated party rules when he nominated Kampala Central MP Muhammad Nsereko, an independent for the speakership race yesterday.
He says such a move is against the party position of maintaining the Status Quo.
Obua adds that Mugema breached the party constitution which bars a member from supporting any candidate against the official flag bearer.
