Over 500 people have received free treatment in a health camp held at Kako diocese in Masaka district.
The health camp that was organized by the Nabagereka Development Foundation also offered services such as immunization, screening of different diseases and treatments.
According to the executive director of Nabagereka Development Foundation Solome Nakaweesi Kimbugwe says that the intervention aims at addressing the problem of infant mortality rate, domestic violence and extending medical services to Kabaka’s subjects.
While officiating at the closure of the health camp the Nabagereka of Buganda Sylvia Naginda, raised concern over high cases early marriages in the region which causes cervical cancer and maternal deaths among other complications.
Nabagereka also tipped people that attended the health camp about family planning methods urging people to seek for medics help to get a suitable family planning method.
