Over 30,000 commercial cyclists have so far been registered by the city authority.
It is estimated that there are 150,000 commercial motorcycles operating in the city.
Kampala Capital City Authority is currently registering all commercial cyclists commonly known as boda bodas that operate in the city.
According to the KCCA spokesperson Peter Kaujju the process is going on smoothly though the turn up is still low.
The registration exercise is being carried out in 24 gazetted areas in the five divisions.
