The executive director, center for constitutional governance, Sarah Bireete has asked the opposition not to completely lose hope in court procedures.

This comes at a time former presidential candidates including NUPs Robert Kyagulanyi and independent Rtd Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde have vowed to contest Yoweri Museveni’s 6th term win in court citing a number of irregularities.

However other candidates like FDCs Patrick Amuriat together with other Ugandans think it’s a waste of time.

Bireete tells Kfm that court is the most legal way to challenge an election outcome adding that previous rulings should not discourage anyone.

She meanwhile says they are yet to release a comprehensive report on the just concluded presidential and parliamentary polls which she thinks were not transparent enough.
