Opposition pressure group Activists for Change has called off its public rally that was scheduled to take place this afternoon at Katwe play ground a Kampala suburb, pushing it to a later date.
The A4C coordinator Matthias Mpuga tells KFM that that the rally has been postponed to allow members of the opposition to participate in a three day retreat in Jinja.
Mpuga adds though, that all the other gatherings are to go on as planned despite warnings against the same by the police.
However, the police spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan area Ibin Senkumbi has told KFM that the Katwe rally has been blocked because it had not been sanctioned.
The opposition has been holding rallies in Kampala as part of its walk-to-work reloaded campaign.
The campaign is in protest over the current cost of living in the country
