Opposition MPs walk out of Parliament

Opposition members of parliament have walked out of the house.

Led by the Chief whip, Cecilia Ogwal, the opposition are protesting the voting on a minority report tabled by Muwanga Kivumbi without debate.

Parliament has finally started debating the Constitutional Amendments bill 2015.

This is after 290 Member of Parliament voted for the 2nd reading of the bill, 33 voted no, while 4 MPs abstained.

The bill requires support of two thirds of voting Members of Parliament to pass at the second and third readings.
The Deputy Speaker of Jacob Oulanya was again forced to suspend Parliament for 15 minutes over quorum and ordered free sitting for member of parliame on return
