One person has died after a heavy downpour accompanied by strong winds caused havoc in most parts of Lira district.
Truth Fountain West Cathedral church’s wall at Central Park village in Central Division collapsed, killing a 22-year-old woman and injuring two others.
The deceased, whose body has been taken to Lira Hospital mortuary, has been identified as Sarah Kia, a resident of Adidik Gweno village.
Those injured include Sam Ecel, the deceased’s husband, and a driver Felix Ayo.
They were rushed to Lira Regional Referral Hospital for medical attention.
