By Ssebuliba Samuel:

The Parliamentary committee on natural resources has resolved to sermon all stake holders in oil production to explain their preparedness to begin commercial production by 2020.

Following their meeting with the state minister for minerals Peter Lokeris, members discovered that the necessary infrastructure to be used in transporting oil is not yet ready and scores of project affected persons are yet to be compensated.

The committee chairperson Alex Byarugaba has resolved to invite different ministries involved in oil production and other stakeholders including companies to explain their state of readiness.
