The Parliamentary Adhoc committee to investigate the oil sector is to be named this Thursday.
This is according to Speaker Rebecca Kadaga, while presiding over a heated debate this afternoon.
Some members including the opposition chief whip Winfred Kizza have insisted that the ministers implicated should step aside as per the parliamentary resolution earlier passed.
Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi together Ministers Sam Kutesa, Hilary Onek were alleged to have taken massive bribes from oil companies.
Though the members passed the said resolution, members from the ruling NRM seem to have had a change of heart and battled with the opposition on whether or not the said ministers should step down.
Kadaga told the members that the resolutions of parliament were forwarded to the President for appropriate action and that the said committee is to begin work soon.
Members are however sharply divided on whether or not the ministers should step down and were screaming on top of the voices, hardly listening to each other.
Speaker Kadaga however ruled that members wait for the adhoc committee, over ruling those urging the ministers to step down.
