The former chief prosecutor at the International Criminal Court Luis Moreno Ocampo is scheduled to visit Uganda next week.
Ocampo, who left the ICC in 2012, is expected in the country to flag off a campaign to promote education.
According to a statement from Invisible Children, a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of LRA-affected communities, the campaign is expected to contribute to the reversal of the negative trend of schools in northern Uganda.
Invisible Children Regional Ambassador, Grace Andruvile says this cause is an integral drive to uplift the standards of education among children affected by the war.
Ocampo is also expected to preside over a fundraising dinner dubbed, ‘Dine with Ocampo, Educate a child event, with resources raised in this exercise to go towards supporting Invisible Children programs that support education programs in northern Uganda.
