NUP dominates Nakawa LC5 seats

The National Unity Platfrom (NUP) party has won 9 out of the all the 10 LC5 elective positions in Nakawa West and East.

NUP took all the six seats for the directly elected councilors (LCV) for Nakawa East and West.

For the women seats, NUP won Nakawa B, C and D and leaving only Nakawa A to the Forum for Democratic change (FDC) candidate Olive Namazzi Kagobola.

The results have been declared by Electoral Commission returning officer for Nakawa Nancy Kirungi at Kololo tally centre.

For Nakawa I

Nkugwa Fauzol  2,794 votes (NUP)

Nakawa II

Innocent Tegusulwa 3,714 (NUP)

Nakawa III,

Faisal Ssebayiga  3,170 (NUP)

Nakawa IV

Charles Mpindi  3,331(NUP)

Nakawa V

Chaggason Twaha Abdul 3,442, (NUP)

Nakawa VI

Johnmary  Ssebuwufu 5,204 (NUP)

For the women’s position, for Nakawa B Immaculate Nalwadda  won,  while Nakawa C was won by Lilian Nakakande and Winnie Nansubuga won Nakawa D.
