By Ruth Anderah.

The National Social Security Fund Managing Director Richard Byarugaba has testified before the commission of inquiry into land matters explaining how the fund acquired the Temangalo Land.

Byarugaba maintains that fund holds a genuine tittle of Temangalo Land that was transferred into its names by business man Amos Nzeyi.

Byarugaba says even though before purchasing the Land, they hired an experienced law firm JB Byamugisha advocates to do due diligence on the tittles , some information was concealed because NSSF was not aware of the claimant Temangalo Tea Estate.

He has also assured the 2 million workers who religiously contribute to the fund that their money was rightly invested and should wait for proceeds.

He further mentioned that the said land has since been earmarked for over 350 housing units to either be rented out or put on sale.
