The NRM Party has resolved to go to court to challenge the decision taken by the Speaker of Parliament on the fate of the 4 rebel MPs.
The party will challenge the decision taken by Rebecca Kadaga, declining to eject the MPs from Parliament following their expulsion from the NRM.
The NRM Electoral commission chairman Ruhakana Rugunda said the decision is not only against the constitution, but also the will of the people whom these MPs represent.
Rugunda says Rebecca Kadaga has also set a bad precedent, by promising to provide a special sitting for the MPs, saying it creates another category of MPs which is legally strange.
Rugunda says that since Kadaga is the NRM vice chairperson for Eastern Uganda and was part of the CEC that made the decision to expel the errant MPs, she should have stayed away from such a ruling.
