The NRM Electoral Commission has written to UNEB asking for the particulars of individuals who are mandated with certifying the academic qualifications of politicians.

The move is intended to weed member without the required qualifications from the ongoing nomination exercise.

The party’s electoral head, Dr.Tanga Odoi says they have already received reports of some party members who are bribing UNEB officials to have their fake documents certified.

Odoi says all party members aspiring for positions that require academic qualifications such as presidential flag bearer, National chairpersons, district chairpersons and members of parliament must have their documents subjected to fresh certification by UNEB and the National Council for Higher Education.
