The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) caucus is set to meet today in preparation for its nationwide consultation on amending Article 102(b) of the constitution which seeks to lift the presidential age limit.
According to the deputy chief whip Solomon Silwany all NRM members are expected to attend including the NRM-leaning Independent Members of Parliament.
He tells KFM that the agenda is to harmonize strategies they are to use in collecting citizens’ views.
The meeting is to be held at the Prime Minister’s Office and is expected to be graced by the party national chairman Yoweri Museveni.
The parliamentary committee on legal and parliamentary affairs is set to begin its 10-day consultations on the controversial bill on October 31st.
