Government has denied reports of a growing rift between the Prime Minister and the Speaker of Parliament.
The minister without portfolio in charge of political mobilization Richard Todwong has refuted reports that Amama Mbabazi made remarks attacking Rebecca Kadaga.
Addressing journalists at the Media Center, Todwong said the statements attributed to the Prime Minister are false and baseless.
He says the cabinet has directed the Attorney General to take legal action against media houses that are allegedly promoting the rumor.
Todwong says the minister has made attempts to speak to the Kadaga and clear the matter but his efforts have been futile.
He says the media should stop fueling tension between different arms of government.
