Uganda is not ready to harbor any rebels who could have crossed into Uganda as refugees.
Minister for relief and disaster preparedness Eng Hillary Onek says screening of the refugees that crossed into Koboko is ongoing.
Onek says 15 soldiers were among those that crossed and were handed over to the UPDF and disarmed.
He however says no rebel will be allowed to stay in Uganda.
This comes a day after government called for support from the international community over the increasing number of refugees flocking the country from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Addressing the media last evening The minister for refugees and disaster preparedness Eng Hillary Onek put the figure in the region of 6000 refugees in Koboko with number expected to rise.
He however said that transfer of the refugees to Rhino refugee camp from the 2 established transit sites had already begun.
He further says an interagency humanitarian assessment mission has moved to the North to assess the situation.
