Government is still assessing the need to evacuate Ugandans stuck in Ukraine.
This comes amidst growing tension between the Russian government and Ukraine following the controversial secession of the Crimean region to Russia.
Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesperson Fred Opolot says a total 86 Ugandans including 54 adults especially university students and 32 children are believed to be stuck in the troubled country.
He says they are already in contact with the Uganda’s envoy in Moscow to ensure safety of all Ugandans.
