No More Mini Skirts In Moroto

A high ranking police officer in Moroto district has blamed women for being victims of rape.
Richard Aruku Maruk who is the Moroto Regional Police Commander says women who wear miniskirts are forcing men to commit crimes of rape.
He has threatened to arrest any woman found wearing miniskirts or clothes that expose parts of the thighs and stomach adding that the women should dress decently within Moroto town to avoid being embarrassed.
He made the warning during his first operation where he closed corridors that sex workers use as negotiating corners.
He has also threatened to close businesses selling miniskirts in Moroto municipality.
