Nation Media Group (NMG) Uganda, which owns NTV, 93.3 KFM, Spark TV, the Daily Monitor, The East African newspaper, Enyanda, and Nation Courier, relaunched 90.4 Dembe FM on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Jikoni Restaurant in Kampala.
The launch was attended by Members of Parliament, including Kagoma North MP Brandon Kintu, Nakawa East MP Ronald Balimwezo, and Lulume Bayiga, as well as musicians Geoffrey Lutaaya, B2C, Ava Peace, and Zafarani, among others.

Also in attendance were Mr. Kizito Augustine, the head of Bataka, and Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson.

The radio station will feature various shows, including the “Ziwenje” morning program, followed by “Cheza” in the afternoon, “Twejeewo” in the evening, “Enyanda” (the sports show), and “Mubeezi,” a late-night love show.
Speaking at the launch, the Head of Radio at Nation Media Group Uganda, Ms. Rebecca Nantale, revealed that the radio station will retain its slogan, “Omuziki N’ebikuzimba,” with the aim of entertaining and informing the youth.
“We are excited to announce the re-launch of 90.4 Dembe FM, now an audio-visual radio experience designed to revolutionize how you enjoy entertainment and information. After a short break, we’re returning with a fresh new format, incredible presenters, and cutting-edge technology that blends sound and visuals like never before,” Nantale said.
The station will continue to broadcast in Luganda, featuring popular radio personalities and DJs who understand youth culture.
