The former Consulate of Pakistan in Uganda Bonny Katatumba has died.
According to his daughter Angella Katatumba, he succumbed to Pneumonia and Asthma at Kampala International Hospital early this morning.
She says a night vigil is to be held at his home in Muyenga, a Kampala suburb.
Katatumba represented the Government of Pakistan in Uganda from 1999.
He was also the president of the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce for 5 years from August 1996–August 2001.
The shadow foreign Affairs minister Jack Wamai Wamanga has paid tribute to the fallen ambassador, describing him as a committed servant and charismatic business man.
