Police in Mayuge have arrested two teachers for allegedly marrying primary seven pupils who finished PLE last week.
The suspects have been named as Robert Kititi and Faisali Mukuve both teachers at Sunny Nursary and Primary school located in Bugade Trading centre in Kityerera sub-county in Mayuge district.
The Mayuge police Criminal Intelligence Investigations Department Chief Abdallah Nasser Mulimira says the suspects were found with the minor girls aged 13 and 14-years hidden at their residences in Bugade Trading center.
Mulimira says the suspects are said to have picked these girls from school as soon as they finished their last PLE paper.
He says the parents of the girls reported their disappearance to police who got in touch with locals in the area to provide information on the location of the girls at the suspect’s homes.
Mulimira says the suspects will be charged with defilement and frustration of children’s future.
