Foreign investors dealing in the supply of electronic devices into the country are optimistic that the prices of electronics will go down as countries continue to register a reduction in cases of COVID-19.
According to the chief commercial officer at Jumia Paul Tesar, for the last two years, prices of electronic devices such as Television sets, among others, had gone up due to the disruptions in the global supply chain caused by COVID-19 restrictions.
He is optimistic as the majority of the countries, especially those who are the leading manufacturers of electronics devices such as China have fully re-opened their economies, the prices are slowly coming down.
Tesar made the remarks while unveiling the 9th edition of the biggest Tech –sale in Uganda.
