Kampala City Traders have maintained plans to hold a peaceful demonstration on April 10th if government does not meet their long standing demands.
Last week the traders met the Prime Minister and discussed a number of sticking issues including high cost of power, brutal arrest of traders by URA enforcement officer over what they describe as trivial issues, and the pending bill that seeks to harmonies the tenant- land lord relationship.
Issa Ssekitto, the Kampala City Traders Association spokesperson says although the Prime Minister promised to have these issues addressed as soon as possible, no tangible results have been registered yet.
