In Kenya: Opposition leader Raila Odinga has decided to postpone his controversial swearing-in ceremony, slated for Tuesday, following the intervention of foreign diplomats.
Nasa co-principal Musalia Mudavadi announced the surprise about-turn, but promised to make final date by the end of today.
He said that following extensive internal consultations and engagement with a wide range of national and international interlocutors, the Nasa leadership has decided to push the swearing in of Raila Odinga to a more continent date to be communicated.
Several politicians have asked NASA to drop the idea including government’s threat to charge Odinga with Treasons.
