The Executive Director of the Uganda Environment Management Authority (NEMA) is today expected to appear before the commission of inquiry probing the alleged mismanagement and abuse of office at the Uganda National Roads Authority.
This is after Tom Okurut failed to honor the commissions summons on Tuesday this week, requiring him to appear and explain himself on allegations made against him regarding the sale of gazetted wetlands.
Speaking to KFM, Okurut confirmed that he would appear today, explaining that his failure to appear earlier was due to his busy schedule.
The commission chaired by High Court Judge Catherine Bamugemereire began work on 2nd July and is expected to compile a report within 90 days.
