Students of Makerere University have rejected the deadline to pay tuition even as the university’s vice chancellor Prof John Dumba Ssentamu insists that without full payment, no student will be allowed to sit for exams.
According to Ssentamu, all students must complete tuition by the set deadline of 16th January.
However, the Guild president Roy Semboga rejected the deadline arguing that management should instead be considerate citing that since the closure of the university, students and parents have incurred unplanned expenditures when the university was closed so students should be left to pay tuition at their convenience.
He explains that they are going to use their powers as student’s leaders to ensure that every one sits for exams.
