The students who were arrested for protesting tuition increment at Makerere University have been released on police bond.
This is after Makerere police arrested three students belonging to the opposition forum for democratic change lead by their chairperson Edmon Mugabe for protesting against the planned tuition increment by the university officials.
Speaking to KFM,the officer-in-charge of Makerere police station Denis Kasibante says that the slated students are supposed to report to police every Tuesday as investigations are underway.
The university council is slated to set next week to harmonize the proposed tuition increase.
