The Ministry of Education is working towards increasing the capitation grants for children with disability in a bid to help them access education.
Currently, the government contributes 10,000 shillings for each primary school going child as capitation grant regardless of their physical abilities and needs.
The permanent secretary in the ministry of education Nassali Lukwago says the ministry is lobbying for such children because they need more attention.
