The 67th graduation of Makerere University which was slated to take place in January next year 2017 still hangs in balance following the closure of Makerere University by president Museveni.
The president issued a directive for the closure of the university on the citing concerns over the safety of persons and property.
The Vice chancellor of the university Mr Dumba Sentamu said that the graduation depend on when the university is re-opened by the president.
He notes that is the university is re-opend this year, the graduation will take place but if it opens next year, then the university will also have to close the university.
However, Lecturers under their umbrella Makerere University Academic Staff Association says they were in the process of Uploading and handing in results for students meant to graduate, to the heads of department but unfortunately, the university closed.
The spoke person of MUASA Dr Deus Muhwezi told this paper that the closure of the university is going to affect the graduation because it has distorted the whole program of lecturers.
