The High Court in Mukono presided over by Lady Justice Paticia BasazaWasswa has sentenced a man to 22 years in prison for killing his Aunt over land disputes.
Yokulaam Nkolwa aged 28 years a resident of Namugunga in Mukono district strangled his aunt Easter Namusobya to death an offence committed on 12 December year 2012 in their home at Namagunga, according to prosecutors led by Council Fatuma Ssendagire.
Nkolwa who has pleaded guilty to the charge admitted that they had land disputes that he murdered her.
The Lady Justice Paticia has sentenced him to 22 years in jail on grounds that the accused has not wasted court’s time and resources under the Pre-Bargain project that was launched last year by the judiciary, and that Nkolwa is remorseful.
