The Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development has remained adamant and declined to heed to the Speaker’s directives on issuing certificates of financial implications for private members bills to be processed.
The Speaker tasked the minister last month to grant certificates to over six bills lest the House proceeds contrary to the requirement.
In her communication to the House this afternoon, Kadaga who has maintained an angry voice has announced that the minister had deliberated denied members that certificates and no option is left rather than suspending the House rules of procedures.
Among the beneficiaries, is Bunya East County MP Waira Kyewalabye Majegere who will get a leeway to present the National Graduate Service Bill 2016 as well Kassanda North MP Patrick Nsamba’s Local Content Bill 2017.
