The security minister Gen Elly Tumwine has asked Religious leaders to unite and help the police and other security organs to fight crime and ensure that peace prevails in the country.
Addressing religious leaders from Nansana Municipality at the prime minister’s office, Tumwine says the church can be a great pillar of ensuring peace due to the multitudes of people they attract.
Tumwine says many people believe in their churches underscoring the need for them to preach about peace and the need for people to be more vigilant in the wake of the current state of insecurity in Nansana.
He has also assured the people of Nansana that his ministry all it takes to ensure that peace once gain prevails.
