Five people have died in an accident that occurred this evening along the Kampala–Gulu-highway.
The accident occurred at Nakitoma in Nakasongola district.
This has been confirmed by the police spokesperson Savannah Region Lameck Kigozi.
He says a Kampala-bound vehicle belonging to Makerere School of Public Health collided with another belonging to Mobile phone company, MTN Uganda killing 5 people instantly.
He adds that all the five bodies have been taken Nakasongola Hospital mortuary as investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
