The opposition party Forum for Democratic Change has accused the Police over wastage of government resources while performing their duties.
Speaking to journalists at their party headquarters in Najjanakumbi today, the FDC party deputy spokesperson Paul Mwiru said its wastage of money on fuel for police to arrest someone from Kasangati and then later transported to Nalufenya, outside the jurisdiction of which the alleged offence was committed.
He also expressed concerns over biased policing by the Uganda Police Force against the opposition and in particular the FDC supporters.
It comes just a week later after the 54 FDC supporters were released from detention at Nalufenya.
The supporters were arrested by Police at the heat of the Kyadondo East by-elections two weeks ago.
