The Democratic Party has advised the Forum for Democratic Change Party to stop confronting other opposition parties if the opposition is to form a strong united front ahead of the crucial 2021 polls.
Recently the FDC Party called for a constitutional interpretation to understand the relationship between the ruling NRM and opposition UPC party.
The party secretary General Nandala Mafabi claimed that the relationship between the two parties is questionable.
Now speaking to KFM, the DP acting secretary General Gerald Siranda says it is only through a merger between the two parties that the claims of the FDC can be proved.
Siranda has meanwhile asked the Inter-Party Organization for Dialogue summit to urgently address the question of multi-party growth in Uganda.
