Government has so far lost 26 billion shillings in compensation to people who with titles in wetlands and forest reserves that were gazzetted for the Kampala Entebbe express high way.
According to information from the Uganda National roads authority commission of inquiry the 20 billion shillings was compensated to people who claimed ownership of the forest reserve and the 6 billion shillings given out to those in wetland.
The commissioner land register Sarah Kulata says they have just realized that a lot of land mess was done at Wakiso land officers.
She notes that it is such people that should be held accountable to the huge loss the country is in.
