Brazilian striker Giancarlo Rodriguez Lopez has left SC Vipers before playing a single league match citing personal reasons.
The 33-year-old joined the Venoms on a two-year deal but failed to establish himself at the club.
He leaves after playing one official match for Kitende having featured in their CAF Champions League game where they lost 2-0 to Botswana’s Juaneng Galaxy.
The center forward who had signed for Vipers until 2025 thanked fellow players, bosses, and fans for making him part of the beautiful soccer game in Uganda, adding that he was deeply saddened for not fulfilling his goals.
He has previously played in many countries including his home country Brazil, Malaysia, and some clubs in Africa.
The Star Times Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup Champions, Vipers signed many players from abroad including Brazilian Coach Leo Neiva who is reportedly on his way out following the early exit of Vipers from the CAF Champions League.
