National Drug Authority Arrests Four for Illegal Trade

The National Drug Authority has arrested four people for allegedly selling drugs without licenses.

The four arrested have been selling drugs in city center shops and where mixing them with other merchandise.

The drugs the suspects had included that that treats malaria syringes and all where embedded with Bank of Uganda logs.

The executive secretary of NDA, David Nahamya says the suspects are to be taken to courts of law as the operation of such kind continues.

Elsewhere, President Yoweri Museveni wants dissemination of health information stepped up.

Museveni says the public need basic knowledge about the different diseases, how they are spread and how to prevent them.

The president has applauded the ministry of health for immunization exercise which he says has reduced on child immortality.

The president made the remarks while launching the religious leaders commitment to reproductive, maternal new born child and adolescent health.
