By Samuel Ssebuliba:
Raila Odinga, the opposition presidential candidate in Kenya’s Presidential election has described yesterday’s polls as a fraud.
He is demanding that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission produces 34A forms from all the polling stations before any further results are announced.
He has told a news conference in Westlands in the capital Nairobi that the results being streamed by the electoral body are illegal and inaccurate because there was a system failure that could affect the vote tallying process.
He also claims that about an hour ago, the IEBC ICT consultants acknowledged the problem and said it would take 8 hours to open email accounts for parties to be able to receive declaration forms.
He further claims that the incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta has on several occasions said that he does not need voters to win an election.
He thus concludes that the 2017 presidential election is a fraud.
Addressing the same news conference, his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka has called calm among all Kenyans as they devise strategic means of securing NASA’s victory.
Meanwhile, Vote tallying continues at the BOMAS in the Kenyan capital Nairobi with preliminary results putting incumbent president Uhuru Kenyatta in an early lead with 54% against Raila Odinga’s 44% of the total votes counted so far.
