Mukono Municipality legislator and Democratic Party President in Buganda region Betty Nambooze says she will not give up on her intentions to revive the party by holding party gatherings.

Nambooze was this morning arrested together with other party members and denied access to Nsambya Sharing Hall where a party conference was planned to take place but were later released.

Adressing a press conference from her home in Mukono this evening, Namboioze has announced another meeting slated for next week but saying that the new venue will be announced on Monday.

She has blamed the party president Norbert Mao for the violence and commotion at Nsambya today.

In the same news conference Kampala city Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has appealed to the party president to come up with a public apology for everything he says has gone wrong.
