This follows a renewed call by the NOTU chairman general Wilson Owere for establishment of a minimum wage in Uganda to check exploitation of workers.

Addressing Ugandans that turned up for the national labor day celebrations in Ntungamo, the president admitted he had not studied enough about the subject and needed more information and facts about the matter before finalizing on the matter.

Meanwhile the president further lashed out at lazy and dishonest workers whom he said affect economic development.

He added that the problem of unemployment can only be addressed through promotion of modern agriculture, industries, services and ICT.
