Mulindwa advises on sports management

There is need to repeal the National Council of Sports Act of 1964 if sports management is to be improved, according to the former FUFA president Laurence Mulindwa.

Appearing before the education and sports committee of parliament today former president of Mulindwa said the law is obsolete and has been over taken by events.

He also told members of the committee says there is need to have this law repealed and government to take a more active role in supporting sports through increased funding.

He was appearing before the education and sports committee of parliament handling a petition by the Uganda footballers Association.
