Mulago hospital has registered significant progress with rehabilitation works that started in October last year.
The hospital spokesperson Enoch Kusaasira says patients in Block A were relocated ahead of the reconstruction works by Roko Construction Ltd, leaving Block B and C operational until August when rennovation is expected to be completed.
Kusaasira regrets that patients are still finding it hard to locate to wards, but has them to use regional referral hospitals Naguru, Jinja and Masaka where nurses were deployed to beef up at the referrals.
Kusaasira adds that there will not be drug shortage after renovation, with the introduction of integrated intelligence computer system that will enable the tracking of medicines and ensure that drugs are replaced in time.
