Former State Health Mike Mukula is fighting for his freedom.
His lawyers have today filed a notice of appeal, appeal his conviction on charges of embezzlement of GAVI funds.
The notice was this morning handed to the Registrar of High Court Division of the Anti-Corruption Court Fred Waninda.
Capt. Mike Mukula, also Soroti Municipality Member of Parliament was convicted and sentenced to four years in prison.
Led by Atenyi Tibaijuka, the lawyers say they are still preparing to file the actual appeal at a later date.
