Makerere University students have successfully petitioned the Vice Chancellor over the 10 per cent tuition fees increment.

The Students led by Guild president Ivan Bwowe delivered the petition to the Vice chancellor’s Secretary who was flanked by the university Bursar.

Council will is expected to sit on Wednesday and look through the student’s petition. Meanwhile, police remain heavily deployed within the Campus.

The police are commanded by the Regional Police Commander Kampala North Steven Tanuyi.
