The Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Mubajje is set to lead the Juma Prayer at Nakasero Mosque in his latest move to foster unity among the Muslim community.
The spokesperson for the Uganda Muslim supreme council Hajji Nseroko Mutumba says leaders of different Muslim sects will converge at Nakasero to pray for unity.
This is the second time the Uganda Muslim supreme Council has organized unity prayers.
However, the last one was shunned by the Kibuli faction led by the Supreme Mufti Sheikh Zubairi Kayongo who demands that the sold Muslim properties be returned for unity to be achieved.
This comes at the height of divisions within the muslim community escalated by counter accusations over the recent mysterious killing of muslim clerics in different parts of the country.
